MIT India presents the Industry Institute Future Summit 2026 (IFS 2026).
A single room, holding the people shaping what comes next, founders building it, investors backing it, CXOs scaling it and the academic and student minds questioning all of it. IFS 2026 is that room. Five verticals. Five distinct conversations. One table where the people who set direction sit beside the ones about to. The day moves between panels that take a position, round tables that close the distance, and the kind of conversations that don't make the agenda but tend to matter most. If this reached you, that was intentional.
Honoured to Welcome
Hon'ble Cabinet Minister for
Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship
& Innovation, Government of Maharashtra
as Chief Guest at
The Taj Lands End, Bandra, Mumbai
20th June 2026|9 AM – 6 PM
A campus-wide innovation challenge bringing together 80 student teams from across MIT India institutions — Arts, Commerce, Science, AOE, and Avantika — to solve real-world problem statements curated by HR and technical leaders from leading Pune and Mumbai-based companies. Problem statements are shared on 21st May. The single-day hackathon culminates in an exhibition of the top 16 shortlisted teams, judged by visiting CHROs and technical leaders on event day.
The centerpiece pitching platform of IFS 2026. Stage-aligned investor matchmaking where startups across maturity levels — ideation to scale — pitch only to investors mapped to their specific stage, ensuring high signal-to-noise conversations. Includes curated pitch slots, closed-door investor meetings post-pitch, and lounge interactions designed for relationship-building. Open to founders across tech and non-tech sectors with a clear value proposition and a defined ask.
Two curated panel discussions of 45–50 minutes each, bringing together the sharpest voices from industry, academia, and the startup world — 6 to 7 panelists per session, moderated by a domain leader. Indicative themes: the future of industry-academia collaboration, building resilient startups in a capital-constrained world, talent and the AI-first workplace, and investor outlook for the next cycle. Final topics, moderators, and panelists will be announced soon.
Three intimate, invitation-only round tables of 40–45 minutes each, with 10–15 delegates per session. Moderator-led, Chatham House-style — enabling founders, senior investors, industry CXOs, and academic leaders to speak freely, share off-the-record insights, and explore ideas without the pressure of a stage. Themes, moderators, and key participants will be announced soon.
A prestigious jury-led recognition platform designed to honor exceptional contributions in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Workplace Culture, Learning & Development, People Strategy, and Organizational Transformation. Featuring a robust jury-based evaluation process across 25–30 curated award categories, the platform brings together an esteemed panel of 10–15 industry leaders, including CHROs, HR Heads, and Talent Acquisition experts. The awards aim to recognize innovative, scalable, and impact-driven people initiatives shaping the future of work and organizational excellence.
From HR Synergy in Pune to IPS in Ahmedabad, every MIT INDIA summit has built the room that IFS 2026 is now bringing to Mumbai.
Here's what those rooms looked like.

Got a question that you don't see covered here? Get in touch.
IFS 2026 has four dedicated tracks — the MIT India Hackathon (open to MIT India students), the Investor Arena (founders across stages), Panel Discussions (industry, academia and investor speakers), and Round Tables (invitation-only senior leaders). Each track has its own registration flow with confirmation issued post internal review. Email meghavi.singh@mitaoe.ac.in if you're unsure which track applies.
Every submission is reviewed by the CRPC programming team. Delegates are confirmed based on role and company fit. Pitching startups are screened on traction, market and team. Hackathon teams qualify through a pre-event challenge round. Confirmations go out within 5 working days of submission.
IFS 2026 runs from 09:00 AM to 06:00 PM IST on Saturday, 20 June 2026 at Taj Lands End, Bandra, Mumbai. Final agenda, parking and access details will be shared with all confirmed delegates ahead of the event.
IFS 2026 is by invitation. There is no fee for confirmed delegates. Travel and stay are not covered, but our team can share recommended hotels and connect you with transport partners on request.
Each segment runs once, and the full-day format is intentional — most of the value comes from cross-track conversation in the hallways and over lunch. We recommend planning for the full day.
We have a small number of Title, Industry, Knowledge and Media partner slots available. Drop a note to meghavi.singh@mitaoe.ac.in with "IFS 2026 Partnership" in the subject and our team will share the deck and pricing.
