Founding Principles of MIT Group
Established in the year 1983 under the MAEER trust, MIT Group of Institutions is a multi-disciplinary and multi-locational centre of excellence with 4 universities and over 70 Institutions across India. MAEER's MIT Strives to develop young minds who will have creative imagination of an artist, critical knowledge of a scientist, analytical skill of technologist, disciplined will of a moralist and the broad vision of a humanist.
Vision and Mission
Vision of an institution is a strong thematic foundation and limit that it envisages to reach while mission preludes means or roadmap to final destination. MIT psychology being deeply rooted to Indian cultural heritage and strongly embarks upon the teachings of what the 13th century Philosopher Sant Shri Dnyaneshwara stated "The whole universe is a manifestation of pure intelligence and consciousness".
Growth and Diversity
Over 32 years of excellence in education, MIT Group has 70+ institutions with more than 6,500 teaching and nonteaching personnel serving over 50000 thousand students in Engineering, Science and Technology, Management, Medicine, Design, Pharmacy, Fine Arts, Journalism and Broadcasting, Vedic Sciences, Human Rights, Peace Education, Law, and Distance Learning.
MAEER - Present & Future
The opportunity to build an institution of eminence therefore, comes as a natural progression, as MIT aspires to create a research-centric, world-class centre of learning as the way forward from our journey at this juncture. This project seeks to bring about a radical change in higher learning, with global knowledge leaders as faculty members, latest infrastructural amenities, and an all-inclusive student engagement policy. Thus, as we see it, the way forward for the Indian Education sector is indeed the way forward for MIT.

Prof. Dr. Vishwanath Dadarao Karad a visionary teacher well versed with history of World War-ll had learnt how machines played perishing role of mass destruction and envisaged that if utilised for the benefit of society.
Treading on the path cultivated three decades ago by Prof. Karad, MIT has yielded rewards in the form of exemplary service to society. Under his farsighted vision, determination, and steady guidance, the institutions under the aegis of MIT Pune having varied faculties, have evolved into 4 universities with an effort to reach out to students across India.
